Welcome to the NUS Law e-Open House!
I’m delighted that you’re taking the time to learn about what it might be like to study law. My colleagues and I, together with our students, had a lot of fun pulling together some videos and other content that gives a sense of what law students do, and what our graduates go on to achieve. We’ve tried to answer questions like why you should (or shouldn’t) study law, what NUS offers over other law schools, and whether there’s more to studying law than the library. (Spoiler: there is!)
There’s a lot of material here and on our regular website, but please do also join us for the respective live question-and-answer session on Thursday, 4 March 2021.
Enjoy exploring the site – I hope to see you online and, perhaps, on our beautiful Bukit Timah Campus itself! |

View the Mooting and Debating Club (MDC) Moot and Arbitration Demo |
|

|
|
The Mooting and Arbitration Demonstration features three current students from the Class of 2022. Aarya Berthier moots on the law pertaining to fiduciary duties and sexual assault for the B.A. Mallal Moot 2019. Yeoh Su-Jane and Jerald Tan address key international arbitration issues such as the jurisdictional defence of corruption and state obligations with respect to fair and equitable treatment as part of the Asian Law Students Association International Moot Court Competition 2019, held in Thailand in September 2019.
Through this, MDC hopes to give prospective students a taste of what a moot entails, at both the domestic and international levels. |
Special thanks to the NUS Law Mooting & Debating Club.
